I absolutely love Lover Mine by the Black Dagger Brotherhood! It has everything a paranormal romance fan could want vampires, action, and steamy romance. Me and my girlfriends couldn’t put it down. The way J.R. Ward writes about the relationship between John Matthew and Xhex is both intense and hilarious. We were on the edge of our seats wondering if they would finally get together.
John Matthew is definitely one of my favorite characters in this series. He’s so sweet and loyal, but also has a dark side that makes him irresistible. I found myself swooning over him throughout the entire book (sorry, not sorry to my boyfriend). And Xhex is such a strong female lead! She can take care of herself but also lets John Matthew take care of her when she needs it. They make such a perfect couple.
All in all, Lover Mine is a must-read for anyone who loves paranormal romance. J.R. Ward never disappoints with her writing and this book is no exception. John Matthews and Xhex’s story in Lover Mine by J.R Ward had me hooked from the very first page! Their chemistry was off the charts and their banter had me laughing out loud multiple times. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the book, from enemies to lovers. It was such a fun ride watching them go from hating each other to being unable to keep their hands off each other.
The action scenes in this book were also top-notch. I could vividly picture every fight scene in my head as if I was right there with the characters. And let’s not forget about all the steamy scenes between John Matthew and Xhex…whew! Talk about hot! J.R Ward definitely knows how to write some intense love scenes.
I’ve been a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series for years now, but Lover Mine has definitely become one of my favorites. If you’re looking for a book that will have you swooning, laughing, and on the edge of your seat all at once, then look no further than Lover Mine.
